VIDEO: Three Things I Want to See From Purdue Against Northwestern

Purdue takes on the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday and will be looking for its first road win of the season.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Last week, Purdue earned its biggest win of the season, beating Nebraska 31-27 at home on a late touchdown run from wide receiver David Bell. The win moved Purdue to 3-6 on the season and 2-4 in the Big Ten.

This week, they travel to Evanston, Ill. to take on the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday. (Noon ET, TV: BTN). Northwestern has had one of its more disappointing seasons in recent memory, sitting at 1-7 and 0-6 in the Big Ten. They were the Big Ten West champions just a year ago under coach Pat Fitzgerald.

Purdue has had its fair share of struggles with Northwestern recently, though. Under coach Jeff Brohm, the Boilermakers are 0-2, losing 23-13 at Northwestern in 2017 and 31-27 at home last season. To find Purdue's last win over the Wildcats, you have to go all the way back to 2010, when they beat them 20-17.

Saturday's matchup should be a low-scoring affair, with Northwestern struggling and third-string quarterback Aidan O'Connell getting his first career start for Purdue.
