BREAKING: 2025 EDGE Anthony Addison Commits To South Carolina!
Coming into this week, Shane Beamer and South Carolina's football program only had one commit in their 2025 recruiting class: three-star in-state wide receiver and the younger brother of current Gamecock quarterback LaNorris Sellers, Jayden Sellers. On Monday and Tuesday, the program added another wide receiver in Brian Rowe, and an in-state safety in Damarcus Leach. That momentum carried over into Friday afternoon as in-state three-star edge rusher Anthony Addison announced his commitment to Carolina over programs like Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Duke, and several others.
According to his On3 Sports recruiting profile, Addison is rated the 6th-best prospect in the state of South Carolina, the 42nd-best edge rusher, and the 463rd-best overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. Anthony joins Leach as just the second prospect on the defensive side of the ball to commit to the Gamecocks, and along with Sellers becomes the third Palmetto State native to join the class.
