Cole Snyder Recaps Syracuse Official Visit

The Buffalo transfer quarterback discusses his interest in the Orange.

Cole Snyder is a quarterback who has led multiple programs throughout his time in college football thus far. The Lakewood, New York native began his career at Rutgers University while none other than Coaches Fran Brown and Nunzio Campanile were also a part of the staff.

The three of them went separate ways from the New Jersey school, as Snyder found himself a temporary home at Buffalo where in his first season with the Bulls became just the third quarterback in program history to throw for 3,000 yards in a season. Now each of them has a chance to rekindle the already built relationship under the same program once again.

Snyder took his first visit to Syracuse this past weekend where he vividly described the drive into campus and as he went over the hill and saw the dome all lit up for the first time, “I was like wow you are supposed to come here to play football.” And when he walked into the field there was a certain level of respect that the place granted that he admired.

Throughout the weekend Snyder was able to develop a lot of relationships with the coaching staff and current players, specifically the wide receivers. The one thing that stood out from Snyder’s one on one time with Brown was his dedication to helping players achieve success on and off the field.

“I love that he emphasizes the players life after football,” said Snyder. “And when it comes to my future, my goal is to win a conference championship and play in a bowl game. I believe Coach Fran can achieve that in year one.”

While Snyder says he can picture himself in Orange this fall, truly only time will tell as he is also in talks with potential others visits such as Temple. However, he says a decision will not be too far away.
