Syracuse football has landed a commitment from junior college offensive lineman Lysander Moeolo. Moeolo is listed at 6-6, 330 pounds on the Navarro College Athletics website. He picked the Orange over offers from Fresno State, Louisiana Monroe, Western Kentucky, Colorado State and Hawaii.

As a high school prospect, Moeolo starred for Timberline High in Washington. He signed with Nevada as part of its 2021 recruiting class. He ended up going the junior college route, however, and enrolled at Navarro Community College in Texas.

At 6-6, 330 pounds, Moeolo instantly becomes one of Syracuse's largest offensive lineman. The Orange is expected to lose Matthew Bergeron to the NFL Draft in the offseason. Therefore, there is an opportunity to compete for immediate playing time.

Moeolo is the 10th player to commit to Syracuse in its 2023 recruiting class and first junior college prospect. He is the second offensive lineman joining Jayden Bass out of Springfield Central in Massachusetts. Bass pledged Orange in July.

The addition of Moeolo ends a quiet spell for Syracuse in terms of commitments. All nine previous verbals occurred between March and July of this year. Moeolo is first commitment in three months. That is not a significant surprise, however, as the 2023 class was expected to be on the smaller side.
