1. Jalil Bethea

Syracuse attended another of Jalil Bethea's games over the weekend. The Orange staff is putting the full court press on for his recruitment. Being that visible certainly makes an impression and shows Bethea that Syracuse has prioritized him. Expect this to continue as long as Bethea's season continues (he is currently in the playoffs). While Syracuse would prefer to be still playing, this is an excellent use of time if not in the postseason. UCLA and Miami are among those also recruiting him hard.

2. Thomas Sorber

Syracuse also was in attendance to watch Thomas Sorber play recently. The Orange is ramping things up in his recruitment and head coach Adrian Autry is becoming more involved here. Sorber is going to be a tough recruitment as he is a highly coveted prospect, but Syracuse has a real shot. The key will be getting him on campus for an official visit. Maryland, Villanova and Penn State are Syracuse's biggest competition here.

3. Calm Before the Storm

On the football side, it has been very quiet for the Orange recently. But players and coaches are back from spring break and spring practice starts this week. That means recruits will start visiting and there should be more activity moving forward. Stay tuned.

4. Micah Ford

The talented athlete is a priority for Syracuse in the 2024 cycle. New Jersey's Gatorade Player of the Year visited for Junior Day and the Orange felt good about where it stood at that point. There has not been much on his front after that, but that could change as we get into the spring and summer. Do not be surprised if Ford is one who visits for a spring practice and Syracuse makes a push at that point.

5. Jack Small

The class of 2024 Garden State offensive lineman also visited Syracuse for Junior Day and the Orange love his upside. Syracuse also felt good after that visit and I am a little surprised there has been no movement. He does plan to visit April 8th for a spring practice, so could that move things along? Syracuse is easily his biggest offer, so will he want to jump on that or is he willing to go through the summer camp circuit to try to gain more? That remains to be seen but he is one to watch moving forward.
