Tennessee had another successful event, their junior day, on February 3rd. Many talented targets were on campus in one of the most exciting off-season events. Independence High School linebacker Dallas Brannon was one of the names attending, and he left town with an offer. The 2026 standout holds offers from Duke, Miami, Missouri, North Carolina, Wake Forest, and more.

The Charlotte native amassed 147 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, and an interception during his sophomore season. Thus far this offseason, he's visited Tennessee and Wake Forest and caught up with Volunteer Country after his trip to update us on his recruitment.

"It was a very good visit; the great hospitality and overall vibe I got were great as well." Brannon felt a lot of love from Tennessee's defensive staff, particularly linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary. "I was around Coach BJ and Coach [Tim] Banks for almost the entirety of my visit. They pitched development and a sense of family, which I really liked and enjoyed."

He was asked what stood out about Tennessee, and his response was, "Their program has been really consistent since Coach [Josh] Heupel took over, and all the coaches have major coaching experience at a high level." He also states, "I feel like I would be a great fit with my athleticism. I could be very versatile for the Volunteers." Following his visit, Brannon was asked if Tennessee is a top school in his recruitment, and he simply responded, "Yes, they are, and I plan to come back for a spring practice or the spring game."
