Tennessee was placed in the top six schools list for 2026 five-star quarterback Jared Curtis. Curtis explained why each team was a top option for him and broke down his overall recruitment with Volunteer Country after releasing his list.

  • Alabama: "I love getting up there and talking to Coach Saban and always getting to talk and spend time with Coach Rees. Also, they do a really good job at producing quarterbacks."
  • Ohio State: "I really like the game plan they go into each game with, and the way they use their players is what makes them special."
  • Florida State: "Coach Tokarz is a really big part of my recruitment with them, and I love being up there with him and getting to talk with Coach Norvell. I also like how they use their players."
  • Texas A&M: "I really have a great time every time I go down there, and the atmosphere there is always crazy loud."
  • Georgia: "I love the way they continue to win, and they are a great team, and any quarterback that goes there will always have talent around them."
  • Tennessee: "I like what they are building in Tennessee! Also, the hometown team, so that's a big plus. I'd love to get back up there again here soon!"

Curtis was recently crystalballed to Ohio State; however, this recruitment is far from over. He currently measures 6-3 and 210 pounds before entering his junior season. He ranks nationally as the No. 20 prospect and the No. 2 quarterback class across the board on all recruiting sites behind Julian Lewis. Depending on a few pieces that fall for each team, all these teams hold an opportunity to land a talented prospect.
