Row the boat? UConn football has other ideas. More like, freeze the lake and place those plans on ice.

Michigan City High School running back Jaden Hart announced on Twitter yesterday that he has officially received a scholarship offer from the UConn football program.

A four-star recruit from the lakeside of Indiana, the 6-foot, 200 pound Hart holds previous offers from nearby Minnesota, in addition to Boston College, Iowa State (makes sense, similar skill-set to Breece Hall), Kentucky, Purdue and Syracuse.

It’s no surprise that the Class of 2024 runner has drawn major interest. Upon a look at his film, you will see a one-cut and go runner—quick to plant and explode. Hart owns nice cutback ability, along with patience and vision. He can also push the pile with his power, accumulating lots of yards after contact and will moonlight in the slot as a pass-catcher.

The more versatile players the Huskies can add on offense, the more offensive coordinator Nick Charlton can begin to open up the playbook. Injecting a talent like Hart into the mix, who is extremely elusive in open space, would be a tremendous boost for the backfield.
