STORRS, Conn. – Graduate student Natalie Snodgrass, graduate student Taylor Wabick, and senior Samantha Carpentier-Yelle all wrapped up a successful weekend with Hockey East Weekly Awards.

Following the weekend sweep of Boston College which featured a thrilling overtime win by the Huskies, Hockey East announced the winners of their weekly awards. Snodgrass was awarded Hockey East Co-Player of the Week, Carpentier-Yelle was awarded Hockey East Goaltender of the Week, and Wabick was awarded Hockey East Defender of the Week.

Graduate Student Natalie Snodgrass was a key piece in the Huskies' back-to-back wins over the weekend. Snodgrass scored one goal and added an assist Friday night and followed that performance by assisting on the game-tying goal with 20 seconds left and then scoring the game-winner in overtime.

Senior Samantha Carpentier-Yelle played every minute in the back-to-back victories for the Huskies. Carpentier-Yelle recorded a total of 49 saves which included a 20 save shutout Friday in a 3-0 victory. With the back-back victories, Carpentier-Yelle improves to 10-3-1 on the year.

Lastly, to wrap up the awards, graduate student Taylor Wabick took home Hockey East defender of the week. Taylor was a key piece in the Huskies defense that helped secure two victories. Wabick played her part, dishing out two assists and blocking four shots. Taylor now leads the Huskies with 16 assists on the year.
