There’s an innate advantage to any team playing games at home at any level, but UNC baseball is currently proving why it may have the biggest home field advantage of any team in the NCAA.

On Sunday, the Tar Heels powered to a 10-3 win over Notre Dame in the friendly confines of Boshamer Stadium, more commonly known to Tar Heel fans as "The Bosh." The victory marked UNC’s 27th straight at home, setting a new program record while also serving as the longest active streak in all of Division I. UNC also improved to 23-0 on the year in Chapel Hill.

Just a season after finishing 36-24 and failing to advance past the regional stage of the NCAA Tournament, the Tar Heels have reached new heights this season as they currently sit at 29-7 on the season.

The Tar Heels, now No. 13 in the nation, have 11 remaining games at Boshamer Stadium as they look to potentially finish a perfect 34-0 at home and extend their record-breaking streak to 38 games.

UNC will welcome non-conference opponents in Coastal Carolina, Gardner-Webb, Charlotte, William & Mary, and Campbell for solo games while also playing three-game series with ACC opponents in Virginia Tech and Louisville.

The next contest will come against Coastal when UNC faces off with the Chanticleers at 6 p.m. ET Tuesday.
