With the recruiting dead period coming to a close, movement within the transfer portal ramped up this weekend, including those from North Carolina.

As one of six Tar Heels to enter the portal, Dontrez Styles announced his transfer destination on Sunday. Styles will join new Georgetown head coach Ed Cooley after spending two seasons in Chapel Hill.

As a sophomore, the 6-foot-6 guard appeared in 15 games for North Carolina, averaging 1.4 points per contest. He amassed 5.9 minutes per game, while shooting 36.9 percent from the floor.

Styles recorded 45 games over his two years in argyle and blue, most notably helping the Tar Heels upset No. 1 seeded Baylor in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

He is a former four-star recruit and was a member of the 2021 class for then first year head coach Hubert Davis.

Styles becomes the fourth North Carolina transfer to find a new home, joining Caleb Love (Michigan), Tyler Nickel (Virginia Tech), and Justin McKoy (Hawaii).

While many Tar Heels have exited via the portal, just one in the form of Paxson Wojcik have committed as a transfer.

How will Hubert Davis and company fill out the roster ahead of the 2023-2024 season?
