WATCH: Roy Williams ties Dean Smith

The North Carolina coach tied his mentor on Monday night.

North Carolina’s 70-67 victory over Yale gave Roy Williams his 879th career victory, tying his mentor and coaching legend Dean Smith for fourth all-time. 

After the game, Brandon Robinson and Garrison Brooks were joined by Scott Smith, the son of Dean, to honor Williams.
