15 true freshmen played vs. Georgia Tech

Given that players can now participate in up to four games in a season and still receive a redshirt, we'll update this chart weekly to see where things stand for true freshmen who have gotten on the field.

Partially necessitated by injuries and partially by North Carolina finally having some breathing room late in a game, the Tar Heels had 15 true freshmen appear in Saturday's victory over Georgia Tech, with several players making their debuts.

Here's the list of true freshmen who played in the first five games, thus losing their chance to redshirt this season. Only Cam Kelly, who suffered a torn ACL, didn't play vs. Georgia Tech.
