There are always greener pastures for quarterbacks in college football these days, and talented players with the potential to start elsewhere usually don't stick around.

That's not the case for Carolina junior Chazz Surratt, who showed promise while battling injuries for his first two seasons with the Tar Heels. A record-setting, four-star recruit at East Lincoln High School, Surratt didn't give much thought to transferring.

Instead, he hopes to be part of turning the tide in Chapel Hill.

"I wanted to stay and I think Coach Brown is going to get us in the right direction, so I wanted to stick with that," he said. “I told Coach Brown I wanted to switch, so I was definitely excited for it."
