On Friday, the USC Trojans introduced their new head basketball coach, Eric Musselman. The Trojans pried Musselman out of Arkansas, and he is now tasked to lead USC to new heights.

Fans, alumni, and the athletic department are excited about their new hire, and it showed. Many important USC people attended Musselman's introductory press conference, including current USC point guard Isaiah Collier and legendary USC guard Nick "Swaggy P" Young.

Watch as OC register's Luca Evans filmed the three interacting with each other after the press conference.

Collier is coming off an incredible freshman season in Southern California. He averaged 16.3 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists on 49% shooting from the field and 33.8% from three. The freshman Atlanta is projected to be a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA draft, but he has yet to declare if he ever does this offseason. Maybe Musselman is doing his best to keep the talented combo guard in SoCal for at least one more season.

Young played at USC from 2004 to 2007. He was named the first-team All-Pac-10 in 2006 and 2007. He led the Trojans to the 2007 NCAA tournament in his senior season. As a Trojan, he averaged 15.5 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 48.4% from the field and 36.8% from three.

Musselman wants to turn this program upside down and will seek as much support as possible. This is a significant hire for the program, and big things are on the horizon for Musselman and his team.
