Utah's Deivon Smith Makes Pac-12 History

History has been made in the final year of the Pac-12 as Utah guard Deivon Smith broke conference legend Jason Kidd's 30-year grasp on the single season triple double record.

In the final home game of the season, Smith popped off against the VCU Rams, racking up 15 points on a 6/11 night from the field and 2/3 night from the line, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds in 37 minutes of play. He also padded his stat line with 2 blocks and 4 steals, propelling the Utes to victory on both ends of the court.

With the conference record firmly in hand, Smith has a chance to pass up former BYU player Kyle Collinsworth's NCAA single season triple-double record, which currently stands at 6. With two games left in the season, it'll be a steep feat for Smith to overcome if he wants to hold the NCAA record but with the roll he's on, it's not impossible in the slightest.

Despite starting the season in late December, Smith has been nothing short of an irreplaceable asset to the team, and the Utah faithful along with Craig Smith and Co. are hoping that he runs it back one more year to lead the charge into the Big 12 era.
