Just three months after transferring to UVA from UNC, Cam'Ron Kelly is going back in the transfer portal. Virginia defensive back Cam'Ron Kelly participated in spring football with the Cavaliers over the past few weeks and played in the UVA football spring game on Saturday, but has made the decision to re-enter the transfer portal, as first reported by On3's Matt Zenitz on Tuesday afternoon.

A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Kelly initially entered the transfer portal back in December after finishing his fourth season with the Tar Heels. He had 180 tackles, five interceptions, and 12 passes defended in 42 total games at UNC and was a Third-Team All-ACC selection in 2021. Kelly returned to his home state with a transfer to Virginia on January 6th, but is now back in the transfer portal, making the UVA spring game his lone appearance in a Cavalier uniform at Scott Stadium.

The second window of the NCAA transfer portal opened on April 15th and players can enter the portal until April 30th. Virginia is expected to actively pursue multiple targets in the transfer portal this spring with a particular emphasis on the offensive line and defensive back positions.
