UPDATE: WVU Athletics COVID-19 Test Results

The West Virginia Athletics Communications Department releases COVID-19 test results

The West Virginia Athletics Communications Department released the latest results in its COVID-19 testing program throughout the entire athletic department.

Since testing began in June, a total of 518 tests have been administered. There have been 41 positive tests during that span with 28 from the football team, five in men's basketball along with a staff member, six in women's basketball, and one in women's soccer. 

Men's and women's basketball postponed their summer workouts that were set to begin July 6 after the first round of testing began and the players that tested negative are scheduled to resume on Monday, July 20.

According to the release, all individuals entered self-isolation for 14 days at the time of their positive result and contact tracing was initiated.
