Fans are more excited than ever for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date. And players can get their hands on the game as early as this weekend with the beta. We will also see gameplay of Modern Warfare 3 on Thursday, October 5th at Call of Duty: NEXT, where content creators and influencers have been invited to play and stream the game early. Here’s everything you need to know including beta dates, how to gain access and the maps that will be available.

MW3 Beta Dates

The Modern Warfare 3 beta will be first available to players on PlayStation.

October 6-7: PlayStation early access
October 8-10: PlayStation open beta
October 12-13: Xbox & PC early access + PlayStation open beta
October 14-16: Open beta on all platforms

Each weekend of the beta will start and end at 1 pm ET on the dates listed above.

How to Play MW3 Beta

The Modern Warfare 3 beta will only be accessible through the Call of Duty HQ app. If you already have Warzone or Modern Warfare 2 installed, you’re good. If you don’t, then you’ll need to install the free-to-play Warzone game first.

After this, you’ll be able to access the Modern Warfare 3 beta either during the open beta or in early access if you have a beta code. The best way to get a beta code is by pre-ordering the game, if you order digitally you’ll be automatically entered into the beta. However, if you order a physical copy you’ll receive a code.

There are also some companies giving away codes such as Xfinity and EE. So keep a lookout on social media accounts to see if any codes are being given away.

MW3 Beta Maps

Call of Duty revealed the maps that will be available in the beta earlier today. These will be available throughout the entire beta so you can play in the early access or open beta periods. Of course, all the maps coming to Modern Warfare 3 are remakes of maps from the original Modern Warfare 2, so these names might sound familiar.
