What is Vortex Mode in Modern Warfare 3?

A brand new LTM has dropped, and here’s all the info you need

Season 1 has brought a lot of new content to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. One of the biggest additions is the new Limited Time Mode, Vortex. Vortex features remixed versions of fan-favorite maps that all have a new twist to them. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Vortex LTM.

MW3 Vortex LTM Explained

The new Limited Time Mode, Vortex, is a variation of the traditional Free-For-All gamemode. However, in Vortex, one player in the lobby will spawn in with the infamous Zombies wonder weapon, the ‘one-shot Ray Gun’. Whoever takes down the person who holds the Ray Gun will take it for themselves, and the match will end when a player reaches the kill limit. This is a new and fun take on the Free-For-All game mode, and can be a great change of pace for players looking to mix things up.

The Vortex mode features three maps, Satan’s Quarry, Sporeyard and Tetanus. These maps are remixed versions of Quarry, Scrapyard, and Rust, but all have a darker and spookier twist to them. However, all of these maps remain the same layout and are purely just cosmetic changes.
