Pokémon Sleep is on its way, finally allowing trainers to… Monitor their sleep. Here’s how you can pre-register for this highly anticipated game.

Pokémon Sleep is meant to reveal why you may be feeling groggy in the morning by turning your sleep into “entertainment.” All you have to do is put your smartphone by your pillow and sleep. From there, a large Snorlax living on an island will conduct some research on your sleeping patterns.

You’ll be rewarded for sleeping longer, encouraging the recommended eight hours a night. The longer you sleep, the more Pokémon you’ll see around Snorlax when you wake up and check the app.

The app will also categorize your sleep into three sleep types — dozing, snoozing, and slumbering. So you’ll see Pokémon that “sleep in similar ways” gathered around Snorlax when you wake up, according to developers.

“You may even discover a Pokémon sleeping in a rare style you’d hardly ever get to see normally,” developers added. “Each Pokémon has a number of different sleep styles, so see how many you can discover to complete your sleep style dex.”

Pokémon GO Plus + With Pokémon Sleep

To create an even more dynamic sleeping adventure, you will want to purchase the Pokémon GO Plus +, which uses Bluetooth to link with Pokémon Sleep.

From there, just press a button before you sleep and place it next to your pillow. Pokémon GO Plus + will measure your sleep data and Pikachu can become your alarm, alerting you on when to wake up or sleep.

When Is Pokémon Sleep Coming Out?

Pokémon Sleep will be launched worldwide sometime in the summer of 2023. There is currently no set date.

Pokémon GO Plus + is coming on July 14, 2023.
