On Wednesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Lakers by a score of 116-99 in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series (in Tennessee).

With the victory, the Grizzlies fought off elimination to force a Game 6 back in Los Angeles on Friday night (the series is now 3-2 in favor of the Lakers).

During the game, eight-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis had a massive block on Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks that went viral on social media.

Davis swatted Brooks' shot all the way into the stands.

During the series, Davis has been defending the rim at an incredible rate, averaging 4.2 blocks per contest in the first five games.

He finished the loss with 31 points, 19 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks while shooting 14/23 from the field in 35 minutes of playing time.

Despite his stellar play, the Lakers got off to a poor start in both halves.

They lost the first quarter by 14 points and the third quarter by nine.

The two teams split Games 1 and 2 in Memphis, and then the Lakers were able to win both Games 3 and 4 on their home floor.

If the Grizzlies are able to win Game 6 in Los Angeles, Game 7 would be back in Memphis on Sunday.

That said, the Grizzlies have struggled on the road, going just 16-27 in 43 games away from their home floor.

The winner of the series will advance to the second round and face off against the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings.
