On Sunday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in California to face off against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.  

For the game, they could be without their best player, as Anthony Edwards is on the injury report.

Edwards has played in eight games so far this season and is averaging 27.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 40.4% from the three-point range.

The Timberwolves are 6-2 in their first eight games and in the middle of a five-game winning streak. 

They are 5-0 at home but have gone 1-2 in the three games they have played on the road away from the Target Center.

Most recently, the Timberwolves defeated the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 117-110.

Edwards played 37 minutes and had 28 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block while shooting 9/21 from the field and 2/8 from the three-point range. 

This is his fourth season in the league, and he is coming off a year where he averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.  

As for the Warriors, they are 6-4 in their first ten games and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, they lost to Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 118-110.

On Tuesday evening, the Warriors and Timberwolves will face off (again) at the Chase Center.
