UPDATE: Dennis Schroder is available.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Memphis Grizzlies in California for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series.

For the game, Dennis Schroder is on the injury report.

However, the veteran point guard is listed as probable, so he should end up being available.

Schroder had a productive regular season with averages of 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest in 66 games.

However, he is only averaging 5.2 points, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest through the first five games of the series.

The Lakers had a chance to close out the Grizzlies in Game 5 (in Memphis) but lost 116-99.

That said, they still have a 3-2 lead in the series, so they can eliminate the Grizzlies with a victory on their home floor.

At home, the Lakers have been good, going 25-18 in 43 games hosted in Los Angeles, California.

Despite finishing the year as the seventh seed in the Western Conference, they have one of the best rosters in the league and will have an excellent chance to compete for the 2023 NBA Championship.

As for the Grizzlies, they are a young team but are the second seed for the second straight season.

If they are able to fight off elimination, Game 7 will be back in Memphis on Sunday.

The winner of the series will advance to the second round and face off against either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings (the Warriors have a 3-2 lead).
