UPDATE: Dennis Schroder's Injury Status For Lakers-Grizzlies Game

Dennis Schroder is on the injury report for Game 5.

UPDATE: Dennis Schroder is available.

On Wednesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers for Game 5 of their first-round playoff series.

The Lakers have listed Dennis Schroder on the injury report for the contest.

However, the veteran point guard is probable, so he should end up being available.

Schroder has had a productive season with averages of 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest.

He also had 21 points in their play-in tournament victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 29-year-old is in his second tenure with the Lakers (he was their starting point guard in 2021) and returned to the franchise over the offseason.

The Lakers have a 3-1 lead in the series, so they can close out the Grizzlies with a victory on Wednesday night in Memphis.

If they lose, Game 6 will be played back in Los Angeles on Friday night.

After missing the playoffs in 2022 and getting off to a slow start this year, the Lakers did an excellent job of finishing as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

There is no question that they have the talent to compete for the NBA Championship.

As for the Grizzlies, they are the second seed in the Western Conference and had an impressive 51-31 record during the regular season.

They are an outstanding 36-7 in the 43 games they have hosted on their home floor.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are 21-22 in the 43 games they have played on the road.

Whoever wins the series will advance to the second round and face off against either the Sacramento Kings or the Golden State Warriors.
