Golden State Warriors Star Reportedly Injured

According to Jason Dumas of KRON4 News and Bleacher Report, four-time NBA Champion Draymond Green sprained his ankle.

Draymond Green is coming off his 11th season in the NBA (all with the Golden State Warriors).

The former Michigan State star averaged 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 52.7% from the field and 30.5% from the three-point range.

This summer, he became a free agent but signed a new deal with the Warriors.

On Saturday, Jason Dumas of Bleacher Report and KRON4 News reported that Green sprained his ankle.

Via Dumas: "Source: Draymond Green sprained his left ankle. It’s not a high ankle sprain. Recovery could be anywhere from three to six weeks.

Should have more info on Monday during Warriors media day."

While Green does not put up massive numbers, he is one of the most important players on the Warriors (and their best defender).

Over the previous nine seasons, he has helped the Warriors win the NBA Championship four times (and make the NBA Finals six times).

The 33-year-old has career averages of 8.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 31.4% from the three-point range in 758 regular season games (he has also appeared in an astonishing 157 NBA playoff games).

This past year, the Warriors were the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 44-38 record.

They beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in seven games) but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).
