UPDATE: Jalen Brunson will likely be available (h/t ESPN's Tim Bontemps).

On Friday evening, the New York Knicks will host the Orlando Magic at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

For the game, the Knicks could be without their best player, as All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson is on the injury report.

Brunson missed the team's last game, so this would be his second straight out of the lineup (if he doesn't play).

Via SNY's Ian Begley on Thursday: "Jalen Brunson is questionable for Friday’s game vs ORL due to left knee contusion, Knicks say"

Brunson is having an excellent season, and is currently averaging 27.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 40.7% from the three-point range in 57 games.

The Knicks are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 36-26 record in 62 games.

They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 116-100.

Following the Magic, the Knicks will play their next game Sunday evening when they host the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden.

At home, they are 20-12 in 32 games.

As for the Magic, they are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-26 record in 63 games.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a five-game winning streak.

Following their matchup with the Knicks, the Magic will play their next game on Sunday evening when they return home to host the Indiana Pacers.
