BREAKING: Jayson Tatum's Updated Injury Status For Celtics-Trail Blazers Game

Jayson Tatum is on the injury report for Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics will face off against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.  

For the game, the Celtics will have their best player in the starting lineup, as superstar forward Jayson Tatum has been upgraded to available. 

Via Underdog NBA: "Jayson Tatum (ankle) available to play Monday."

Tatum is in the middle of another sensational season with averages of 26.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.4% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range in 60 games.  

The Celtics are also the best team in the NBA (and the first seed in the Eastern Conference), with a 49-14 record in 63 games. 

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Phoenix Suns by a score of 117-107. 

Tatum had 29 points, ten rebounds, seven assists and one steal while shooting 11/28 from the field 5/9 from the three-point range in 42 minutes of playing time. 

Following their matchup with the Trail Blazers, the Celtics will conclude their road trip when they face off against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday evening in Salt Lake City. 

Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers enter the evening as the 14th seed in the Western Conference with an 18-45 record in 63 games.  

They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Toronto Raptors by a score of 128-118 (in overtime). 

Following the Celtics, the Trail Blazers will remain at home to host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday evening.
