Kristaps Porzingis' Injury Status For Bulls-Celtics Game

Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out for Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Chicago Bulls in Massachusetts. 

For the game, they will remain without one of their best players, as 2018 NBA All-Star Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out. 

Via The Celtics on Monday: "#NEBHInjuryReport for tomorrow vs. Chicago: 

Jrue Holiday (right ankle sprain) - QUESTIONABLE 

Kristaps Porzingis (left calf strain) - OUT 

Derrick White (illness, non-Covid) - PROBABLE"

Porzingis has played in 15 games so far this season and is averaging 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 54.7% from the field and 32.4% from the three-point range. 

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 13-4 record in their first 17 games. 

They are 8-2 over their previous ten games and most recently defeated the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 113-103 (Porzingis did not play in the game). 

Porzingis is in his first season with Boston after getting traded (via the Washington Wizards) over the offseason. 

Following the Bulls, the Celtics will play their next game on Friday evening when they host the Philadelphia 76ers in Boston. 

As for the Bulls, they are 5-13 in their first 18 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the east. 

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak and most recently lost to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 118-109 in New York.

Following the Celtics, the Bulls will return home to host the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday evening.
