FINAL UPDATE: LeBron James' Official Injury Status For Lakers-Knicks Game

LeBron James is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's game, but ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that he will play.

FINAL UPDATE: LeBron James is available.

On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Manhattan to face off with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Their best player LeBron James has been officially listed as questionable due to an ankle injury.

That said, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that he will play.

Via Mcmenamin: "LeBron James will play tonight against the New York Knicks, sources told ESPN. It will be his first game at Madison Square Garden since January 2020."

James did not play in Monday night's 121-104 loss to Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

The four-time NBA Champion turned 38 last month, but he has still been one of the top players in the entire league.

He comes into the night with averages of 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 40 games (while shooting 50.7% from the field).

Out of 19 seasons, James has only averaged 30+ points three times, so this could go down as one of the better-scoring seasons of his legendary career.

Despite James' dominance, the Lakers are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 23-28 record in 51 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and have gone 4-6 in their last ten games.

On the road, the Lakers are 10-16 in 26 games.

As for the Knicks, they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 27-24 record in 51 games.

At home, they are 12-13 in 25 games hosted in New York City.
