UPDATE: Luka Doncic's Current Injury Status For Mavs-Pistons Game

Luka Doncic is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will be in Michigan to face off against the Detroit Pistons.

For the game, the Mavs could be without their best player, as five-time NBA All-Star Luka Doncic is on the injury report. 

Via ESPN's Tim MacMahon on Friday: "Mavs star Luka Doncic is questionable vs. Pistons tomorrow due to a right elbow sprain."

Doncic is having another fantastic season and is averaging 34.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 55 games.    

The Mavs are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 35-28 record in 63 games. 

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Miami Heat by a score of 114-108. 

Doncic had 35 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and one steal while shooting 12/24 from the field and 7/13 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.  

Following their matchup with the Pistons, the Mavs will play their next game on Monday evening when they visit the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.  

As for the Pistons, they have had a tough season and are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 10-52 record in 62 games.  

They have gone 2-8 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 118-112. 

Following the Mavs, the Pistons will remain at home to host the Charlotte Hornets on Monday evening.
