NBA Debut? The NBA's First Overall Pick Cade Cunningham Is Expected To Play In The Magic-Pistons Game On Saturday
NBA fans got word of great news on Friday, because James Edwards III of The Athletic relayed how Cade Cunningham is not on the injury report for the Detroit Pistons for when they play the Orlando Magic on Saturday.
The tweet from Edwards can be seen embedded below.
Edwards' tweet said: "No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham is not listed in the injury report for tomorrow’s game against the Magic, meaning is NBA debut is likely."
The former Oklahoma State star was the first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, and has missed the first four games of the season with an ankle injury.
The Pistons have an 0-4 record after their first four games without their star rookie.
Their losses are to the Chicago Bulls (twice), Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.
After their game with the Pistons on Saturday, their next three games will be against the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and 76ers.
