Ingram is dealing with a right hip contusion, according to the team.
The team has already been without their best player Zion Williamson who has yet to play this season due to a right foot fracture.
Coming into the game, the Knicks are one of the hottest teams in the NBA with a 4-1 record, and just beat the Chicago Bulls on the road on Thursday to give them their first loss of the new season.
As for the Pelicans, they have struggled without Williamson and have a 1-5 record, which has them last in the Western Conference standings.
