The Nets enter the day as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 34-25 record in 59 games.

They are 4-6 in their last ten games but a solid 16-14 in the 30 games they have played on the road away from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Simmons, who is one of their best players, also missed Friday's 131-87 loss to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

The three-time NBA All-Star is averaging 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest in 42 games (while shooting 56.6% from the field).

Even though the Nets have a good record, they will be a much different team the rest of the season since they traded away All-Stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

As for the Hawks, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-30 record in 60 games.

Over the last ten games, they are 5-5, and at home, the Hawks have been respectable, going 16-12 in the 28 games they have hosted at State Farm Arena.

They have made the NBA Playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and in 2021, the Hawks made the Eastern Conference Finals.
