Tyler Herro's Official Injury Status For Heat-Nuggets Game

Tyler Herro is on the injury report for Thursday's game.

On Thursday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Colorado for a showdown with the Denver Nuggets.    

The two teams faced off in the 2023 NBA Finals, and the Nuggets won the series in five games. 

For Thursday's contest, the Heat will be without one of their best players, as Tyler Herro has been ruled out. 

The former Kentucky star has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of action. 

Via The Miami Heat: "#MIAvsDEN INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro (knee) has been ruled out of tonight’s game vs the Nuggets."

Herro is averaging 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest while shooting 43.7% from the field and 39.9% from the three-point range in 36 games. 

The Heat are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-25 record in 58 games. 

They are in the middle of a five-game winning streak and are 8-2 over their last ten games.

Most recently, the Heat defeated the Portland Trail Blazers (in Oregon) by a score of 106-96. 

Jimmy Butler led the team with 22 points and nine assists. 

Following the Nuggets, the Heat will return home to host the Utah Jazz on Saturday evening in Miami, Florida. 

As for the Nuggets, they are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 40-19 record in 59 games. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and have gone 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Following the Heat, the Nuggets will visit the Lakers on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
