On Monday night, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics are hosting the Miami Heat in Massachusetts for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The winner of the game will advance to the NBA Finals and face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (who swept the Los Angeles Lakers).

Tatum, the best player on the Celtics, appeared to roll his ankle on the first play of Monday's game.

The All-Star forward drove to the basket and bumped into Gabe Vincent, which led to him falling on the floor.

Thankfully, Tatum is staying in the game, but his ankle will be something to watch.

Tatum made his fourth All-Star Game this season and is averaging 27.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 46.0% from the field during the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

He is in his sixth season in the NBA and has helped lead the Celtics to the Conference Finals four times in the previous six seasons.

Last year, the franchise made the NBA Finals for the first time since the 2010 season (they lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games).

In addition, the Celtics and Heat have now faced off in the Conference Finals three times in four seasons (each team won once).

This year, the Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference and have a chance to make significant NBA history.

With a victory, they can be the first team ever to overcome an 0-3 deficit in a Playoff series.
