BREAKING: Damian Lillard Made NBA History In Bucks-Lakers Game

Damian Lillard made NBA history during Friday's game.

UPDATE: The Bucks lost by a score of 123-122, and Damian Lillard had 28 points, five rebounds and 12 assists.   

On Friday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks are playing the Los Angeles Lakers in California. 

During the first half, All-Star point guard Damian Lillard made NBA history by moving ahead of Hall of Famer Reggie Miller (2,560) for sole possession of fourth on the all-time three-pointers list.  

Following Miller, the next player for Lillard to pass will be James Harden (2,910).

Lillard has established himself among the best guards of all time and is in the middle of another productive season with averages of 24.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 42.3% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range in 58 games.

He is in his first season with the Bucks and has helped lead them to a 41-22 record in 63 games, which has them tied for the second seed in the Eastern Conference. 

Before getting traded to Milwaukee, Lillard had spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers.  

They made the NBA playoffs eight times and reached the 2019 Western Conference during his tenure. 

The eight-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 25.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 827 regular season games. 

Following the Lakers, the Bucks will remain in Los Angeles to face off against the Clippers on Sunday afternoon.
