BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Player Will Reportedly Enter Free Agency
Donte DiVincenzo is coming off a solid season where he was a role player for the Golden State Warriors.
The two-time NCAA Champion finished the year with averages of 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point range.
On Tuesday, ESPN's Kendra Andrews reports that the 26-year-old will be headed into free agency as he will decline his $4.7 million player option.
Via Andrews: "Donte DiVincenzo is not picking up his $4.7 million player option with the Warriors and will enter unrestricted free agency, source tells ESPN."
The Warriors finished the regular season as the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 44-38 record.
They defeated the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA Playoffs but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).
During the Playoffs, DiVincenzo averaged 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest while shooting 37.5% from the field and 34.1% from the three-point range.
The former Villanova star was the 17th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and spent the first three and a half seasons of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Following the Bucks, DiVincenzo played the second half of the 2022 season with the Kings.
He will likely have interest from many teams this summer because of his ability to defend, score and play an abundance of different roles.
DiVincenzo's career averages are 9.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 42.0% from the field and 36.2% from the three-point range.
