BREAKING: Memphis Grizzlies Sign Recent Lakers Player

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Shaquille Harrison.

Shaquille Harrison is coming off a year where he was with the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers.

He played in five regular-season games with the Trail Blazers and averaged 8.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.2 steals per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 30.0% from the three-point range.

In addition, the 29-year-old appeared in eight NBA playoff games with the Lakers (who made the Western Conference Finals).

This summer, Harrison became a free agent, and (on Thursday) the Memphis Grizzlies announced that they had signed him.

Via Memphis Grizzlies PR: "The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team signed guard Shaquille Harrison. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed."

In addition to Portland and Los Angeles, Harrison has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz.

Over six seasons, Harrison has career averages of 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 28.1% from the three-point range in 180 games (he has also appeared in 17 NBA playoff games).

The best tenure of his NBA career came with the Bulls.

He played in 116 games and averaged 16.5 minutes of playing time per contest.

As for the Grizzlies, they are coming off a year where they were the second seed in the Western Conference with a 51-31 record.

However, they lost to the Lakers in the first round of the NBA playoffs in five games.
