Chris Paul's Bold Statement On NBA Future

Chris Paul spoke to Anthony Slater of The Athletic about his NBA future.

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 118-94.

The loss ends the Warriors season, as they have now been eliminated from the 2024 postseason.

Chris Paul finished his night with three points, one rebound and two assists while shooting 1/3 from the field in 18 minutes of playing time.

The 38-year-old's contract is non-guaranteed for the 2024-25 season, so his future with Golden State will be in question.

However, the 19-year veteran made it clear (to Anthony Slater of The Athletic) that he is not retiring.

Slater's full story on Paul can be read here.

Via Slater's post on X: "Chris Paul is not retiring: “This isn’t it. I know it for sure.”

Spoke to Paul about his season with the Warriors and his unsettled future."

Paul finished the regular season with averages of 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 58 games.

Despite his age, the future Hall of Famer is still a productive player and could be good addition to many teams (including the Warriors).

Paul was the fourth pick in the 2005 NBA Draft and has also spent time with the New Orleans Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder.

His career averages are 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 9.4 assists and 2.1 steals per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field and 36.9% from the three-point range.
