Cedi Osman is coming off another solid season where he averaged 8.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 45.1% from the field and 37.2% from the three-point range in 77 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 28-year-old has spent his entire six-year career with the franchise, and according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavs will guarantee his contract for the 2023-24 NBA season.

Via Wojnarowski: "The Cleveland Cavaliers are fully guaranteeing forward Cedi Osman’s $6.7 million contract for 2023-2024, sources tell ESPN. Osman has averaged nearly 10 points a game in his six seasons with the Cavaliers."

Osman was initially the 31st pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and has career averages of 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 42.7% from the field and 35.3% from the three-point range in 404 regular season games.

During his rookie season, Osman helped the Cavs make the 2018 NBA Finals (when they still had LeBron James on the roster).

He is one of the team's best role players, and keeping him on the roster for another year is a smart move by the franchise.

Last year, the Cavs had an excellent regular season, finishing with a 51-31 record which got them the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2018 but lost to the New York Knicks in the first round (in five games).

Despite the disappointing finish to their season, the Cavs will likely remain among the best teams in the east next year.
