Dennis Schroder's Viral Tweet After Lakers Eliminate Grizzlies
On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 125-85 in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series on their home floor in California.
With the victory, the Lakers won the series 4-2 and have now advanced to the second round of the NBA Playoffs.
D'Angelo Russell led the way with 31 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 30 minutes of playing time.
The former Ohio State star also shot an outstanding 12/17 from the field and 5/9 from the three-point range.
After the game, Dennis Schroder sent out a tweet that is going viral on Twitter.
Schroder tweeted: "D’Lo with the ice in his veins🥶 Tuff Game 💯 Semifinals Next! 🔥 #LakersWin"
Schroder finished his night with two points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 23 minutes of playing time.
Despite finishing as the seventh seed in the Western Conference, the Lakers have one of the most talented rosters in the league and a legitimate chance to win the 2023 NBA Championship.
With the victory, they are now 26-18 in the 44 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles (3-0 in the playoffs).
As for the Grizzlies, they had a fantastic regular season, finishing as the second seed, so the playoffs were a significant disappointment.
In the next round, the Lakers will face off against either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings.
The two teams will play Game 7 of their series on Sunday in Sacramento, California.
