Derrick Rose Made NBA History In Timberwolves-Grizzlies Game

Derrick Rose moved up on the NBA's all-time scoring list during Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in Tennessee. 

During the game, Derrick Rose made NBA history by moving up on the all-time scoring list

Rose came into the evening with 12,447 career points, and he has now moved ahead of Joe Barry Carroll (12,455) for 251st on the list. 

Following Barry Carroll, the next player for Rose to pass will be Johnny Kerr (12,480). 

Rose entered the matchup with averages of 9.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 45.3% from the field and 57.1% from the three-point range in seven games. 

The Grizzlies are 3-12 in their first 15 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and most recently lost to the Phoenix Suns by a score of 110-89.

In 22 minutes of playing time, Rose had 17 points, two rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 8/9 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range.

Rose was the first pick in the 2008 NBA Draft out of Memphis and is in his 15th season playing in the league. 

In addition to the Grizzlies, the 2011 MVP has also played for the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks (twice), Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons. 

His career averages are 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest while shooting 45.6% from the field and 31.7% from the three-point range in 706 regular season games.
