Donte DiVincenzo Made New York Knicks History Against Magic

Donte DiVincenzo made New York Knicks history.

On Friday evening, the New York Knicks hosted Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. 

The Knicks dominated and won by a score of 98-74.

Jalen Brunson returned to the lineup and led the way with 26 points, three rebounds and two assists while shooting 11/19 from the field and 4/7 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time. 

Donte DiVincenzo had 11 points, four rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block while shooting 3/10 from the three-point range in 42 minutes of playing time. 

The former Villanova star also made Knicks history.   

Via NBA.com/Stats: "With his third 3PT FG of the night, Donte DiVincenzo becomes the fourth player in Knicks franchise history to reach 200 3PM in a single season, joining:  

Evan Fournier – 241 (2021-22)

Julius Randle – 218 (2022-23) 

John Starks – 217 (1994-95)"

DiVincenzo is in his first season with New York and is averaging 14.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 40.4% from the three-point range in 62 games. 

The Knicks are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-26 record in 63 games. 

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and are 21-12 in the 33 games they have hosted at Madison Square Garden.  

Following their victory over the Magic, the Knicks will remain home and play their next game on Sunday evening when they host Tobias Harris and the Philadelphia 76ers.
