Draymond Green Made NBA History In Warriors-Kings Game 7

Draymond Green made NBA history in Game 7.

UPDATE: Draymond Green finished the game with eight assists and also moved ahead of Bob Cousy for 17th on the all-time playoff assists list.

On Sunday afternoon, the Golden State Warriors are playing Game 7 of their first-round playoff series on the road at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento against the Kings.

During the game, Draymond Green made NBA history by moving up on the all-time playoff assists list.

Green came into the day with 932 career playoff assists, which ranked 19th on the list.

The four-time All-Star only needed four assists to move ahead of Kevin Johnson (935) for 18th (he passed Johnson during the first half).

Following Johnson, the next player for him to pass will be Hall of Famer Bob Cousy (937).

Green has played five games in the series and has averages of 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 43.2% from the field.

He started in the first two games of the series but was suspended for Game 3.

In the next three games, the former Michigan State star came off the bench before returning to the starting lineup in Game 7.

The 33-year-old is in his 11th season in the league (all with the Warriors) and has helped lead the franchise to the NBA Championship four times in the previous eight seasons (they have also been to the NBA Finals six times during that span).

Whoever wins Sunday's game will advance to the second round of the playoffs and face off against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The winner of the Warriors-Kings series will host Game 1 on Tuesday evening.
