Is Kevin Love Making His Miami Heat Debut On Friday?

Kevin Love is not on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday night, the Miami Heat will play their first game following the All-Star break when they visit Jrue Holiday and the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.

For the game, they will have five-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love available.

The veteran forward was bought out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and signed with the Heat over the break.

On Thursday, Love said that he would make his debut for the Heat on Friday.

Via Underdog NBA: "Status alert: Kevin Love said he'll make Heat debut Friday."

He appears to be officially available for the contest, as the Heat did not list him on the injury report for the game.

Even though it's been a down season for Love, this is an excellent pickup for the Heat.

Right now, the former UCLA star is averaging 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest (while shooting 35.4% from the three-point range).

In 2022, Love shot 39.2% from the three-point range, and he has career averages of 17.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest (while shooting 37.5% from three).

Maybe the biggest thing that the 34-year-old brings is his experience because he has been to the NBA Final four times (2015-18 with the Cavs) and won the 2016 NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors.

Love had been in his ninth season in Cleveland, and before the Cavs, he played the first six seasons of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Heat are currently the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-27 record in 59 games.
