On Sunday evening, the New York Knicks hosted the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden.

The game was extremely low scoring, and the 76ers won by a score of 79-73.

The Knicks shot just 32.5% from the field and 22.5% from the three-point range.

All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson had one of his worst shooting games of the season and finished the night with 19 points, three rebounds and eight assists while shooting 6/22 from the field and 1/9 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.

After the game, Brunson made a brutally honest statement when he met with the media (h/t SNY's Knicks Videos).

Brunson: "I played like dog s**t. That's it."

The Knicks have had a tough stretch as they have dealt with injuries and currently remain without OG Anunoby, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson.

That said, Brunson is having an excellent year and is averaging 27.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists per contest while shooting 47.4% from the field and 40.3% from the three-point range in 59 games.

With the loss, the Knicks dropped to 37-27 in 64 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and are 21-13 in the 34 games they have hosted at Madison Square Garden.

Following Sunday's loss, the Knicks will host the 76ers (again) on Tuesday evening.

As for the 76ers, they improved to 36-28 in 64 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
