Jalen Brunson Made New York Knicks History Against Kings

Jalen Brunson made New York Knicks history during Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the New York Knicks faced off against the Sacramento Kings in California. 

The game was close, but the Knicks were able to pull away in the fourth quarter and win by a score of 98-91. 

All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson was sensational and finished with 42 points, four rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block while shooting 17/28 from the field and 5/10 from the three-point range in 36 minutes of playing time. 

He also made Knicks history.  

Via New York Knicks PR: "Jalen Brunson recorded 40+ points in consecutive games tonight, marking the first time a Knick has recorded 40+ points in back-to-back games since Carmelo Anthony (2014). Brunson is also the fourth Knick in franchise history to record 40+ points in consecutive games."

Brunson is having a sensational season with averages of 27.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.8% from the field and 40.2% from the three-point range in 62 games. 

With the victory, the Knicks improved to 40-27 in 67 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

Following the Kings, the Knicks will play their next game on Monday evening when they visit Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco. 

As for the Kings, they dropped to 38-28 in 66 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
