Jimmy Butler's Viral Instagram Post After Miami Heat Advance To NBA Finals
On Monday evening, Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics by a score of 103-84 to advance to the NBA Finals.
They had lost three games in a row but were able to win Game 7 (on the road in Massachusetts) and avoid becoming the first team to ever blow a 3-0 lead in an NBA Playoff series.
Jimmy Butler, who has been sensational during the 2023 NBA Playoffs, finished the night with 28 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in 43 minutes of playing time.
He has now led the Heat to the Finals in two out of the previous four seasons.
After the big win, the six-time NBA All-Star made a post to Instagram with photos and clips from the game (the post had over 300,000 likes in less than two hours).
Butler captioned his post: "four"
In addition to Butler's stellar play, the Heat have had their role players step up in a significant way.
Caleb Martin finished Game 7 with 26 points, ten rebounds, three assists and one steal in 45 minutes of playing time.
He also shot an efficient 11/16 from the field and 4/6 from the three-point range.
The Heat finished the regular season as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference but lost their first play-in tournament game, so they are the eighth seed.
They are in the middle of one of the most impressive postseason runs in NBA history and will now face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the Finals.
Game 1 of the series will be on Thursday night in Colorado.
