Kevin Durant Made Exciting NBA History In Trail Blazers-Suns Game

Kevin Durant made NBA history during Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the Phoenix Suns hosted the Portland Trail Blazers in Arizona. 

The Suns won the game by a score of 120-107, and Kevin Durant led the way with 31 points, four rebounds, nine assists and one block while shooting 13/21 from the field in 37 minutes of playing time. 

During the game, Durant also made NBA history, as he became the 148th player to appear in 1,000 career regular season games.

KD has the 4th-most points through 1,000 games, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Jordan."

Durant also moved up on the all-time scoring list, as he has now passed Elvin Hayes (27,313) for 11th place. 

The next player for Durant to pass will be Moses Malone (27,409). 

With the victory over the Trail Blazers, the Suns improved to 8-6 in their first 14 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in Arizona (the Suns are 3-4 in seven games at home). 

Durant is in his 16th season playing in the NBA and has also spent time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets. 

His career averages are 27.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 38.6% from the three-point range.
